Introducing i-salon software version 8.5

There’s plenty to be excited about in our new release of i-salon. We’ll be sending full details to our customers soon, but we just couldn’t wait to give you the highlights!

New i-Text features

We have added several new categories of automatic text message to the i-Text tool within i-salon v8.5. This means that, along with appointment reminders, birthday and lost client texts, you will be able to send more messages automatically, including ïnew clients last week’ which will help you to encourage those all-important repeat bookings from new clients.

You will also be able to create your own marketing groups and set up automatic messages to them, using any criteria you choose. Just create your message and add it to i-Text to ensure that it will continue to be sent automatically for you, without having to create it from scratch each time. 

Save time and money on credit card transactions

This is really big news and could mean our customers save enough each month in their transaction fees to pay for i-salon _ and even more!

i-salon can now link directly to credit card readers that plug into the salon PC. Compatible card readers will be supplied by Integrity Software, with very favourable transaction fee rates, meaning that the majority of our customers could save a significant amount on their credit card processing fees.

In addition, manual entry of credit card payments will no longer be required provided you have a compatible card reader. Transactions will be automatically recognised when the credit card option is selected, saving time at checkout. 

Feel Phab about customer service

Finally, we’ve proud to announce a partnership with Phab _ Performance in Hair & Beauty, an organisation whose mission is to improve standards of customer service and performance throughout the hair and beauty industry. Salons which meet Phab’s strict criteria will qualify for an award (similar to the Good Salon Guide), showing clients that this is a salon that really cares about it’s customers.

To achieve your award, you need to demonstrate that you hit the targets Phab specify in several important areas, including; how many clients each team member saw, how many bought retail and how many become regular client. Targets in each of these areas must be met consistently across a period of at least 6 weeks to qualify.  To make this easy for i-salon users, we’ve added a report into our latest version of salon software that shows you how you measure up to the Phab standard at the click of a button.
