Get the guys to the spa for Father’s Day!

With Father’s Day just around the corner, time is running out to choose the perfect present for your dad this year. Surprisingly, however, it seems that a spa day could be the answer, with hundreds of men being treated to a relaxing trip to the local spa this June 16th.

According to the International Spa Association, one third of all spa nail treatments are purchased by men, and if the man-icure doesn’t take your fancy then there are dozens of other treatments to put a reluctant smile on your old man’s face this year.

Head massages and facials are becoming increasingly popular amongst males here in the UK, while aromatherapy and even waxing treatments could well tempt the blokes to the nearest salon for a day of paternal pampering.

ïSpas and salons are of course no longer the reserve of women exclusively,’ said i-Salon Software’s spokesperson Sharon Frost, ïand in fact many treatments are proving popular with men mature enough to do away with the stigma associated with salon treatments.’
