Traditionally, tennis players are supposed to stick to shades of white, white and – more white, and that’s exactly what tennis champion Serena Williams has opted for so far during Wimbledon. But that’s not to say she hasn’t tried her hardest to work a bit of colour into her all-white outfit. The impressive player has chosen to sport bright orange nails during this year’s tournament, with intricate pop art detailing. Just as Rebecca Adlington’s Union Jack nails did, Serena’s nails have become a great hit with fans who have since copied her unique design to support her. She’s not the only trend setter this year…

From Andy Murray’s mum’s new short, grey crop to Pippa Middleton’s knitted dresses and pinned back tresses, celebrities and people of significance attending the games are causing salons to become inundated with appointments to receive treatments that will help them to copy their icons’ looks. Many salons are introducing ïWimbledon packages’ that include everything from manicures and hair hairstyling to waxing and spray tanning! It would seem the event is becoming increasingly just as much about style and trend as Ascot.

It is important for salons to keep on top of current fashion trends and style changes in order to be able to offer clients packages or advice that is likely to be of some interest. For those who are keeping on top of their social media accounts, it is also useful to have information of relevance to comment on.
