SMEs will spend more on IT in order to grow

The latest GE Capital’s SME Capex Barometer has revealed that firms in the UK (among other countries) are set to spend around ó73bn on IT equipment, which is a 15% increase on 2013.
Billions will be spent by SMEs upgrading laptops, computers and other devices, while further money will be spent improving software as SMEs seek to update their infrastructure and back-office systems to match the changes and improvements they have made elsewhere. Keeping your software up-to-date can increase productivity, give a company a competitive advantage and is ultimately far more cost-efficient than running an outdated system, so it is no wonder that so many SMEs are now looking to upgrade themselves.
