Another London Fashion Week has been and gone, and dedicated fashion followers will no doubt have taken note of the top trends on the catwalk this year. Here at i-Salon Software  we aren’t interested in the clothes _ we’re interested in hair! We’ve been scouring the catwalks at this season’s shows to find out which hairstyles and colours will be in demand from salon clients in 2015.

Low ponytails
Perhaps the easiest and quickest hairstyle that most of us are able to wear, ponytails were everywhere at LFW. Low ponytails were embellished with ribbons, bows and accessories. Some were poker-straight, while others featured large kinks and curls and yet more incorporated twists, braids and knots.

Plaits and braids
Elsewhere, we saw plenty of intricate braided hairstyles. Now’s the time to brush up on your fishtail and French braiding skills. For something a little different, test out waterfall braids, messy ponytail braids and five-strand French braids.

Slicked back
Kim Kardashian, Iggy Azalea et al. have already been rocking slicked back hair, but this style isn’t going anywhere. The slicked back style certainly isn’t for everyone, but if you’re after a fierce, severe, on-trend hairstyle, this could be the style for you.

Pinks
Rihanna, Rita Ora, Jessie J and Katy Perry have all tried out pink hair, and it’s a trend that’s going to last well into next year. Pastel pinks and purples are particularly on-trend.

Hippie hair
This season’s catwalks also paid homage to the styles of the late ï60s and early ï70s. We saw the triumphant return of poker straight hair, often combined with hairbands or loose braids. We’ve also seen rather more crimped hair on the catwalk than we might have expected…
