As we approach late Spring/Beginning of Summer, the rise of bridal season will be filling salons and spas across the country, and it is essential that you plan ahead for this busy periods to ensure everything runs smoothly and your full attention is on the clients and bridal parties that require your services.

Generally, brides like to have everything planned in advance, to lower the costs and to ensure everything is confirmed ahead of schedule to avoid any issues on or close to the day. When a bride calls in for a consultation it is essential that you discuss the timings and the requirements for their party. Here are the key questions –

  1. Date of the wedding
  2. Location of the wedding
  3. Time of the wedding
  4. Number of members in the bridal party
  5. Requirements of styling  – braids/blowdry/Up Do (not essential)
  6. Do they require pre – wedding services – treatments/colour etc

From these key questions you can establish a bridal timeline for the party in question and put a plan in place for the day. Around 3 months before the bride should begin to think of styles that will compliment her face shape, style and that of the dress. Book in the bride and perhaps a bridesmaid for a trial around about this time.

A month before, dependant on the condition of the hair, invite the bride in for some conditioning treatments to keep hair looking and feeling fabulous for the big day – a must! And of course, to add that beautiful shine.

With a week to go, we recommend that colour is refreshed for the big day. That way it keeps the condition great, but hair looking vibrant too.

On the big day itself, ensure you have planned ahead, have the correct tools and products you need and a team with you to make sure the day goes flawless at all times!
