The Pituitary Foundation is a UK patient support organisation offering expert medical support and information on a range of Pituitary diseases. The foundation operates throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland.

The charity was founded in 1994 and registered in 1996, The Pituitary Foundation is there to assist those diagnosed with a disease of the gland, and provides information, support and understanding for those in a time of need. This service is also available to not only patients but their family members, friends and colleagues, as well as healthcare professional and the general population. It’s an area which needs great support in order to maximize the information surrounding the medical conditions associated with it.  In order to maximise their services, the charity heavily relies on crucial donations from those around the UK.

With this in mind, the teams from industry leaders iSalon Software, Cap2 and TRP have joined forces to undertake some fundraising activities, raising an incredible £1100 so far for the organisation.

Dan Haywood, Managing Director of Cap2 and TRP, decided to undertake the first charity initiative, choosing to have his hair shaved into a mohawk – keeping in with the hairdressing industry! Dan visited local salon Parks Hairdressing located in Bath, who helped with his charitable mission and provided the shave complimentary.

Following the shave, Dan has embraced his new style, “I decided as the Managing Director, to take on the very first charitable mission, and it was so much fun. The organisation provides so much help and support to those in needs, so it was a pleasure to take part – I’m definitely getting used to my new style!”

The three companies are working together throughout 2019 in order to raise vital funds for The Pituitary Foundation. Donations can be made via https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/isalon
