Known for their charitable efforts and unique fundraising ideas, it is with great excitement that iSalon announce The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) as their designated charity for 2020. CALM is leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK. Their goal is a life less miserable for those affected, their friends, their family and for everyone.

CALM answered 122,953 calls and webchats in 2019, and our goal is to help them answer even more. Darren Pick, Managing Director of iSalon, will be taking on various running events throughout the year but the pinnacle will be Equinox 24, at which he will be running solo for 24 hours and will be aiming to cover 100 miles. In addition to this Darren has vowed to complete the 2020 Manchester Marathon in April 2020 and there will be lots more fundraising activities over the course of this year to help iSalon reach their goal.

In 2019, iSalon helped the Jonas group raise a huge £20,000 for the Pituitary Foundation and as a result of iSalon raising the most per employee head they were awarded the Ben’e’factor trophy and the privellege of selecting 2020’s charity.

iSalon Marketing Manager, Alice Smithson commented; “We are honoured to announce CALM as our designated charity this year. The work they do is incredible, and they truly are saving lives with every £ they receive. We hope to raise even more than our target for this amazing cause so watch this space.”
