ISALON SOFTWARE – CHARITY UPDATE

30 Jul 2020

The Pituitary Foundation, our chosen charity of the year, is a UK patient support organisation offering expert medical support and information on a range of Pituitary diseases operating throughout the UK and Ireland. The organisation provides a range of services to patients and is a vital lifeline to many.

Throughout 2019 our team, along with members of the Jonas Group, have undertaken many fundraising challenges in order to raise as much money as possible for the charity. Some activities have been fun and simple and some have been incredibly hard!

We are delighted to share with you our charity update detailing what we have accomplished so far in 2019!

Mohwak Challenge

Joining forces with Cap2 and TRP, iSalon helped arrange the mohawk challenge in February. This challenge was undertaken by Cap2 and TRP Managing Director Dan Haywood, who had his hair shaved and styled into a Mohawk to raise money for the charity. Parks Hairdressing in Bath assisted Dan with his challenge and he raised an incredible £1100.

Who Get’s Slimed?

Our first team charity initiative was something fun and those who donated chose who they wanted to get slimed! With 6 members of the iSalon team in the running, the public chose Alice, Darren and Neil and the slimming took place live on facebook, with the team raising over £400!

Three Peaks

This challenge was the most challenging to date and consisted of nine individuals from our team and the Jonas group, (along with our office dog Ollie!), taking on the three peaks challenge. The challenge saw the team climb the three peaks within a maximum time of 24hours, and they completed this in under 12hours – an incredible achievement. Over £1150 was raised through this challenge.

iSalon Raffle

Everyone loves a raffle, so we decided to hold one at iSalon HQ for our family, friends, team and colleagues.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank our contributors; Watches2U http://watches2u.com , Id Hair, JOICO, Doddington Hall, Woodhall Spa Swimming Pool, Jump INC,  Lincolnshire Wildlife Park, Kinema in the Woods, Playzone, Secret Hauntings and all the individual donations.

What’s next?

In October iSalon Managing Director, Darren Pick, will take part in the Palma Half Marathon in aid of the charity. Darren started his running journey back in January an is aiming for a time of 2hours. Rather than just asking for donations, Darren is asking donators to guess the time that he will complete the marathon in. Whoever has the closest guess, Darren will match this donation.
