ROSS CHARLES HAS A CLOSE SHAVE WITH ESTEEMED YORK BUSINESSMAN AND HIS DAUGHTER IN AID OF CHARITY

Ross Charles of Ross Charles Hairdressing worked with Nick Turnbull, the MD of local design firm Inc Dot and his daughter Hetty to shave their heads for an immense fundraiser. Nick and Hetty visited the Ross Charles Hairdressing salon on Monday to brave the shave in the hope of raising £1000 for children’s cancer charity, Candlelighters.

For the last 12 months, Nick and Hetty have been growing their hair and, in Nick’s case, facial hair for this occasion. As part of their annual fundraising, Nick volunteers as Santa Claus at the charities Christmas event and this was a momentous occasion for Nick and Hetty and for hairdresser Ross Charles to be a part of.

Ross Charles commented: “knowing that Hetty suggested this fundraising idea to her father Nick after questioning what she could do to help those suffering from cancer is heart-warming and something I was honoured to be a part of. Knowing that myself and the salon have been instrumental in helping them raise almost £1,200 so far for the Candlelighters charity is incredible.”

Nick from Inc dot says: “For several years, my family and my business have supported the wonderful work of Candlelighters, who provide practical, emotional and financial support to children living with cancer. As part of our fundraising each year, I volunteer as Santa at the charity’s Christmas event.
