I want to sign up to iSalon, what’s next?

I’m interested in joining iSalon and finding out more, what should I do?

It couldn’t be simpler, simply fill in our contact form and one of our experts will be in touch to discuss your requirements. We can even take you through an in-depth demonstration of our software to show you what you’re getting, answer any questions and make sure you hit the ground running.

How easy is it to switch to iSalon?

Switching has never been easier and with so many salons changing to iSalon, we have extensive experience in moving people from other providers. If you already have your data from your existing supplier in the format, we require then we can have you up and running in a matter of hours. If your current provider can’t provide your data in our required format or you don’t want to pay them to provide it for you, don’t worry, we can still get you up and running in no time using any data that you might be able to provide.

Even if you’ve never used software before, our team of experts will gently guide you through the process and be with you every step of the way to ensure you are up and providing your amazing services in no time at all.

We’ve been in the software game for thirty years and know that making the leap to using a computerised system is a little scary. That’s why we have a team of experts to help and guide you every step of the way. If you can use a mobile phone, you can use iSalon!

We are a salon group, is iSalon for us too?

Absolutely, iSalon is designed to grow with you. We can take you seamlessly from a single site to over a system to suit 100 locations if needed.


Hardware and support


How will I know how it works?

iSalon has been designed by hair and beauty professionals for hair and beauty professionals so you’ll find it very intuitive. To help you though – we provide a range of training options to get you up and running. Including one on one or group sessions (virtually at the moment 😊) as well as a range of online resources and bite size videos designed to help answer any quick questions.

Is there a team of experts on hand to help?

There sure is! Our customer service team are available between the hours of 8:30 – 18:00 Monday to Friday and 8:30 – 16:00 on a Saturday. You can also chat to our online chatbot, Ruby at any time.

Do I have to install anything?

You won’t have to lift a finger. We have a team of outstanding tech experts who can do it all for you. They will set you up remotely and run through everything with you to make sure you’re happy. As long as you can use a mobile phone and access emails – we’ve got you covered!

What if I need any hardware?

With so many options and suppliers you can sometimes be spoilt for choice. Talk to our team of experts and they will be able to advise. And if you want to keep it simple, we even have a wide range of hardware options you can purchase direct from us. If you want extra peace of mind, we can provide you with support for your hardware too.


iSalon and the internet


Can I run my software without the internet?

Yes, we are one of a kind like that! Unlike other cloud-based providers, even if the internet goes down, you still have access to all the data stored on your pc. This means you can access client notes, arrive clients, take payments and book them in for future appointments – and they will be none the wiser. If you wanted to make use of some of our cloud functionality or access your system remotely, then obviously with no internet connection there is no access.

What if my internet loses connection?

That’s the beauty of iSalon, even if you lose your internet you can still arrive, service rebook and take payments from your clients in the salon.




How do updates work?

Updates for your software are free of charge and you don’t have to do a thing. We provide constant updates to our software and add new templates and features regularly.  Your updates are downloaded on to your computer and you are notified by a pop up on your screen to accept the new updates. We also provide guidance notes as to what they are, allowing you to take advantage of new improvements straight away. In 2020 we provided over 260 updates and enhancements to features and functionality – pretty impressive, we know!


Data and contracts


How secure is my data?

The last thing you want is someone walking off with all of your client data and setting up next door, so we take your data security as seriously as you do. Your data is stored safely and securely, and you have the ability to restrict access to data and what users can or can’t see. You can export it whenever you like using a wide variety of reports within iSalon into a variety of machine-readable formats including CSV files. We adhere to all The GDPR regulations. You can rest easy – we have got you covered.

Will I own my own data?

A very common question that we get asked a lot. Yes, of course you own your own data. It’s all yours and you can decide what you wish to do with it.

How long are your contracts?

Typically, you sign a one-year contract with us as we provide you with an annual license. We appreciate that some of you like the security that a longer-term contract brings, talk to us and we can easily arrange a longer term. You can give us notice to leave whenever you like, as long as it is 90 days before your license ends. You can pay for your software via a monthly direct debit or in a one-off payment; it couldn’t be simpler; your license is able to renew automatically giving you one less thing to think about.

If I cancel my account, will I lose my data?

Technically, you lose access to iSalon software when you leave. If you haven’t downloaded your data, you will lose access to it.

What if I change my mind? Can I leave?

You sure can. However, please speak to us first as we very often provide features or functionality that you think you’re missing. If you still want to leave, all we ask is for at least 90 days-notice prior to your one-year license ending. That’s it!

Will you charge me to access my data if I want to switch supplier?

No! We always hope that you wouldn’t want to leave and ask that you speak to us first to see what we can do to help and support you. However, we have a variety of reports that you can run to allow you to export your data. We always suggest setting up various security parameters to restrict who can do this though. With all of the reports available you can easily do this yourself, however If you would prefer for us to run those same reports and export them in the same way you can then we do charge for our time.
